The Crawford County Fair Ambassador is the official ambassador of The Crawford County Fair. In addition to serving as the official ambassador of The Crawford County Fair, The Crawford County Fair Ambassador represents and promotes the Fair at events throughout Crawford County and beyond, including area parades, festivals, and other community events. The Crawford County Fair Ambassador will also represent Crawford County at the Wisconsin Association of Fairs Convention and participates in the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs competition. The 2016 Fair Ambassador is Elizabeth Garfoot, daughter of Scott and Susie Garfoot of rural Seneca. Garfoot is a 2014 graduate of Seneca High School and currently attending the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Garfoot has participated in Crawford County Fair as an exhibitor and volunteer. Garfoot shared, “she is very excited to share her passion for the Fair with everyone she meets”.
The 2016 Senior Future Fair Ambassador is Keegan Eberling, daughter of Lynette Eberling of rural Prairie du Chien. Eberling is in her senior year at Prairie du Chien High School. Additionally she is taking college prep classes before graduation as she can. Keegan has been an avid exhibitor at the fair showing as many projects as she can which includes many animals.
The 2016 Junior Future Fair Ambassador is Alexandria Crary daughter of Nick Crary and Sheila Prew both from the Prairie du Chien area. Alexandria is proud to share her excitement of showing Sheep at the fair with exhibiting some other project during her first year as an exhibitor. Alexandria also enjoys fishing, skiing and competing in gymnastics in her free time.

Hello! My name is Bridget Achenbach, daughter of Lonnie and Jane Achenbach, and I am honored to serve as the 2015 Crawford County Fair Ambassador. I have grown up on a small hobby farm just outside of the town of Eastman, WI. I recently graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in May of 2014 and I am currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. On campus at UW- La Crosse I am a part of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, and have made the Dean’s List after my first semester. The Crawford Country Fair has been an enormous part of my life and I hold a passion for promoting others to learn about an event that has changed my life.
Hello! My name is Aubree Larson. I am 11 years old and live in Ferryville. I attend Desoto Middle School. I am the daughter of Koren and John Gunderson.
I was the 2013 Crawford County Little Miss Squirt Attendant, I can't wait to use the skills I learned in that position in my new position as the Crawford County Future Fair Ambassador! I am involved in Church activities and S.A.C at school. My Hobbies are reading, playing sports, and riding my horse Flame. I really love all animals, in the past I have shown a calf at the Crawford County Fair. The Crawford County Fair has been a wonderful opportunity for me and I would like to thank all the Volunteers, The Fair Board Members, and the Fair Coordinator For setting it up for all to enjoy! I hope to see everyone at the 2015 Crawford County Fair!
Crawford County Fairest of the Fair Now Fair Ambassador!
Gays Mills WI -The Crawford County Fairest of the Fair committee is excited to announce the Fairest of the Fair program is now The Crawford County Fair Ambassador Program! This change will more fully represent Crawford county and the Fair. The Fair Ambassador is official spokesperson and ambassador for the Crawford County Fair. The person who fills the role makes appearances throughout the county, and surrounding areas, works with the media and promotes the educational, social and economic importance of Crawford County’s fair and agriculture industries. We are accepting applications for the Fair ambassador position until 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21st 2015. The Fair will announce the new Fair Ambassador at the Crawford County Fair Gala January 30th 2015. Tickets to the Crawford County Fair Gala are on sale at the extension office for low cost for those that would like to attend.
Submit completed Fairest of the Fair documents and submit by Wednesday, January 21st of 2015 to Crawford County Fair – Fairest of the Fair Committee, 225 North Beaumont Road, Suite 240, Prairie du Chien, WI 53821.

“Crawford County Fair—Fairest of the Fair program is a great way for young adults share their love for fair industry,” said Amanda Nagel, Coordinator at Crawford County Fair.
Fairest of the Fair
Crawford County Fair is pleased to announce the 8th annual Fairest of the Fair competition. The purpose of this program is to promote a variety of opportunities—educational, agricultural, social, cultural and commercial—available at the Crawford County Fair. The winning contestant will be the official ambassador for the Fair and will receive a continuing education scholarship as well as an opportunity to become the next Wisconsin State Fair “Fairest of the Fair.” Contestants must be 18 years of age as of January 1, 2015.
Application, program rules, requirements and compensation are available at www.CrawfordCountyWisconsinFair.com. The application process is NOW open for the 2015 Fairest of the Fair! FAIREST OF THE FAIR
Sarah Achenbach is the 20-year old daughter of Lonnie and Jane Achenbach. She is the second child in her family and has two brothers and four sisters. Her family owns a livestock and crop farm in rural Eastman area.
She was a member of the Eastman Cloverleaf 4-H Club for fourteen years, completing her last year in 2013. She earned the Key Award in 2011; topping off her extremely active career in 4-H, participating in about every County event as well as State and National Trips! She graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 2012, in which she was in National Honor Society, Band, F.F.A., Key Club, S.O.S. and many other clubs as well as being a four year athlete in golf, gymnastics and soccer.
Sarah is currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse, where she is majoring in Education with a minor in Special Education. She is involved in many campus organizations, such as Gamma Sigma Sigma, Student Senate, Residence Hall Association Council, International Friendship Exchange, Pre-Occupational Therapy Club and Lions Club. She holds leadership positions in many of the clubs. She also works a variety of jobs working with the elderly and youth.
“The fair has meant everything to me” states the Fairest of the Fair. “It has helped make me the person I am today." Sarah’s showing career began at the age of six at the Crawford County Fair. Her exhibits included photography and crafts; vegetables and nature displays; and showing beef, sheep, swine, rabbits, chickens, dogs and horses. However, the animals were always the highlight of fair, where she ended up with many champion animals and trophies in showmanship. The Fair 2013 was Sarah's last year as a junior exhibitor, but she plans to continue exhibiting in the open class as the years go on. She will always remember the memories she made at fair!
ATTENDANT FAIREST OF THE FAIR
Mikaela Baker is the 19 year old daughter of Gerald and Dawn Baker.
She grew up on a small family farm in Rising Sun, where for many years they milked a herd of 25 cows, but now only keep show animals.
Mikaela has been involved in showing at the fair since her family moved to Crawford county Wisconsin in 1998, and of course she started as a small farmer bud! As well as showing cattle, Mikaela has shown photography at the fair. She graduated High School in 2013, and has not yet made any decisions on college but is looking into vet tech programs, because of her love for animals.
Mikaela looks forward to sharing her passion for the fair with the community and knows that this year will be the best year yet, because the Crawford County Fair is the place to be!
FUTURE FAIREST OF THE FAIR
Marie is the nine year old daughter of Lonnie and Jane Achenbach. She is the sixth child in her family and she has four sisters and two brothers. She is a fourth grader at Bluff View School in Prairie du Chien. Marie is a member of the Eastman Cloverleaf 4-H Club - the oldest club in the county, starting in 1928! As a 4-H member, she has participated in county Music Festival, Speaking Contest, Drama Festival, Shooting Sports, Discovery Days, Camp and Fair. At the Fair, Marie has shown a steer, sheep, pig, rabbits, chickens and vegetables as well as arts and crafts!
Marie's favorite thing to do at the fair is spending time with her family showing exhibits and preparing animals for show in the barns. Her favorite fair food is anything served at the 4-H food stand, especially the shakes!
Marie is also a part of the St. Therese Little Flower Club at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Eastman; in which she has earned her Wreath 2 Badge. She also plays the piano and violin!
Marie enjoys being the 2014 Future Fairest of the Fair and can't wait to see you at other County events!
